Everyday Phrases

• Starting and Ending:
  • “Good morning/afternoon, everyone.”
  • “Can everyone hear me okay?”
  • “Sorry, I was on mute.”
  • “Thanks, that’s all from my side.”
  • “Have a good day/weekend.”
• General Responses:
  • “Okay, I understand.”
  • “Got it, thanks.”
  • “That sounds good.”

In-Meeting Phrases

• Asking for Clarification:
  • “Sorry, I didn’t quite catch that. Could you please repeat it?”
  • “Just to be sure I understand, are you saying that…?”
  • “Could you give me an example of that?”
  • “Let me share my screen. Can you see it?”
• Giving Your Opinion:
  • “From my perspective, we should…”
  • “I think a better approach would be to…”
  • “I have a concern about this approach because…”
• Agreeing:
  • “That makes sense.”
  • “I agree with that.”
  • “Good point. I hadn’t thought of that.”
• Disagreeing Politely:
  • “I see your point, but have we considered…?”
  • “I have a slightly different view on this.”
  • “I understand, but I’m worried about the performance impact.”
• Interrupting Politely:
  • “Sorry to interrupt, but I have a quick question about that.”
  • “If I could just jump in for a second…”
  • “Before we move on, could I add something here?”
• Taking Action:
  • “I’ll take the action item to investigate this further.”
  • “Let’s take this offline to discuss in more detail after the meeting.”
